Germany's most beautiful region awaits you......
The Black Forest ('Schwarzwald') is located in the South Western corner of Germany and borders both France and Switzerland. It's a region of calm forests, panoramic views, sunny peaks, river valleys, revitalising spas, scenic vineyards and recognised gastronomy. Along with this, the rich history of Black Forest farmhouses, cuckoo clocks and traditional costume embodies everything you might expect from a picture book holiday in Germany.
Located in the northern Black Forest, Bad Peterstal-Griesbach, is set amidst the spectacular backdrop of rolling hills and pristine pine forests. It is an area of natural beauty which benefits from a moderate climate and is therefore an ideal environment for the rich fruit growing industry and many vineyards in the area.
A paradise for walkers, nature lovers and those who simply want to enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet, it has so much more to offer. For those seeking an adrenalin rush, there are challenging mountain biking tracks, great paragliding opportunities and in winter, skiing and cross-country skiing on the doorstep.
Sightseeing and shopping is within easy reach, with the beautiful Alsacien city of Strasbourg and the famous spa town of Baden Baden close by. Bad Peterstal-Griesbach is in itself a recognised spa and health resort which is also home to some of the areas best known mineral water producers.
For connoisseurs of fine food and wine, the area is recognised for its scenic vineyards and high quality Riesling wines as well as outstanding local produce which features in the many restaurants in the area.

'I lay beneath the pine trees, And looked aloft, where, through The dusky, clustered tree-tops, Gleamed rent, gay rifts of blue.'
